I can't believe you got that picture without someone trying to eat someone else's soup, Robin. You timed that picture just right. Does Eve have adrenal? I notice there isn't very much hair on her tail. In fact, looks like Bart has some hair loss, too. That is such a neat picture.

I have a question about both the puree and the soup. Did you mean to pressure cook the cut up whole chicken for an hour an a half? Do you then blend bones and all with the chicken heart and gizzards and turkey. Do yoiu put that in the soup? How much would you give to a ferret that has not had it before. Don't want to upset their tummy. Where would I find something like Evangers duck or rabbit in a can? I am looking for ways to spoil Charcoal. I like my animals to think they have won the pet lotto when they come to me, but that isn't so easy with Charcoal. It is getting better and we are becoming better adjusted to each other, but I would like an opportunity to spoil him in a healthy way. Right now the only healthy thing I do to spoil him, is to add some whipped cream cheese to my fingers, so he cn lick it off when I put him back in his cage after his out of the cage adventures. I don't know if I would even make this but I would like to know the correct way, just in case.
Thanks

hi Rene the chicken puree step 1 then doing soup is step 2 yes I mean pressuer cooker all the cut up chicken bone .skin water to cover (cuting up chicken makes it easy to fit in blender) I found 1 1/2 hour rocking slowly makes the bones really soft and go thu the blender with ease , I slow simmer the heart & gizzards & ground turkey , then cooker is cooled down I add heart, gizzards , turkey to chicken in cooker then run thu the blender and then pour in to simmer pot and puree some more then all done and all is pureed I add 2 cups of the chicken puree to 2 1/2 cup freezer containers put into freezer intill needed , and add 1 container of chicken puree to my soup each time i make it , as for the Evangers (dog) I found at a feed /grain/ pet supplys store are if lazy I order on line at www.arcartapet.com (go to dog supplies) but 6 of my kids came to me not knowing what soup was so I warmed up a cube of soup and placed some on my finger and rub on there gums and all so used a med dropper to get them to eat it , know Bart & Homer there old owners feed marshels & mixed with uncle jims duck soup for there soup so they were not hard to change to my soup I still give a small bowl of marshels , you can always make a small batch frist useing 2 legs and cut soup down My 5 cats and dog love cleanup duity if any left, I do this soup uter if I had 1 -2 ferrets are the 8 , right know I'm alternating between the duck & Rabbit I just did up a new batch yeasterday and used Duck , but I cant tell witch they like better the rabbit are duck so I buy 6 of each so 12 total it's 100 meat and I also get the 3 oz innova can cat same 2 places I get buy the case , do a google search and you be able to see were you can get Evangers at

I am going to give it a try making the puree and the soup. I have a cheap blender and dull knives, so I don't know if the bones will get soft or small enough to blend. I cook for myself once a week, and then use it all week cause I hate cooking. Charcoal has to be special to make me want to do this. I had forgotten that I had bought a pressure cooker a couple of years ago. My husband reminded me and there it was, with all the other pots and pans that I don't use! I was at the vet supply and feed store and I forgot the Innova, and they didn't have Evangers. I got a 5 oz can Holistic Select Duck and Chicken formula for cats. I guess because of the economy, many smaller pet stores are closing. I used to have one close to home and one close to work that I frequented, and both of them are closed. Now, the closest one tha I know of if 15-20 miles away, and way out of my usual traveling route. Now it is a special trip, instead of dropping in along my way. I went to one of those when I got Charcoal and picked up his food and hammock. I need to go back and get the vitamins and laxative .. Back to the soup. If the bones don't puree, I can just take them out. And I have two cats and two dogs, so if Charcoal does not like the mixture, it sure won't go to waste.

I got all the stuff together to make the soup except for the Evangers. I didn’t know that it was dog food, until I went to the site. The feed store said they had Evangers duck for dogs, but were sold out and would be getting more this week. Now I will go back and check for it. In the meantime, more questions. What is the texture of this soup supposed to be? Is it really soupy or is it very thick with bits of meat in it? I don’t have much faith in my $20 blender, that anything will come out as what I would consider a puree. Could I mix the soup and pureed stuff together and pour in into an ice tray. Then since I have one ferret, I could heat up a cube or two. I know that I probably can’t mess it up too bad, I am just concerned that I might give it to Charcoal it a consistency that could hurt him, cause a blockage or something like that. I have been been reviewing the instructions, and even if the bone does not get soft enough to go into the blender, I could just put the meat that will have fallen off in there. Is the ground kibble , just ground up ferret food? If I am thinking right, the “soup” is really ground ferret food, water or chicken broth, innove cat food and evangers food, boiled eggs, olive oil and ferretone if I have it. The puree is the rest of the stuff..
