Squeak...squeak...a fight

Bonita has never picked a battle with any ferret that came to live with us. April also has welcomed visitors and I'm sure the Mac and his laid back personality will be fine also when visitors come next week.

But this morning there was a Bonita/Mac tiny battle.....over an n-bone

Bonita is a very fast eater, while April eats like a lady and Mac is rather slow.

Bonita had finished her piece of n-bone and decided to try and grab Mac's.......from his mouth no less. I don't know which one started making noise, but I was right there and immediately separated them.

Bonita went running off...with Mac's n-bone, so I just picked him up and gave him another

Poor Mac, he's so good natured, he probably would have given it to her if she has asked nicely

Oh, my! The infamous n-bone! This is one treat that can turn perfectly well behaved, layed back ferrets into growling monsters when they decide that one is NOT enough. hehehe The same thing happens here. Itty will gobble up her treat and then run to Ozzie and steal his n-bone right out of his mouth. Poor Ozzie! The other day though, the Oz Man got even with Itty. He hid his n-bone and trotted right over to Itty to claim her share as his own. Mommy just let Ozzie have his Day in the Sun. And she gave Itty another treat for her very own. lol Ferrets! You just gotta love 'em! :-) Huggers, Greta

Awww sweet Mac, lol, probably wondering, "well what was that about??!" LOL. Bonita just really really wanted that n bone! Do you know, sixteen ferrets later, I've never tried the n bones! I think I should see what Noah thinks of them.

It sounds like Bonita really likes her n-bones. When that little lady wants something she gets it. I am glad that poor sweet Mac got one of his own. They are so much like children.

Toby and Bethany do the same thing!! It seems as if sometimes Toby reaches right in Bethany's mouth to take the food out. But Bethany has FINALLY learned to get her treat and REtreat to a safe place!! Plus she's learned where Toby hides his treats and raids it whenever she gets a chance!!
