Hello Everyone! Today was my first day at Rocky's Ferret Rescue! I got to chase around the fuzz butts and tire them out. Also, I got to help the owner take blood for ADV tests! I never knew ferrets pooed and peed when they were mad! AH! That was a bit of a shocker to see poo flying! But I had a wonderful time! Huronna, the lady that owns it, her name is Barbara Clay. She told me to tell you hello and that you all knew each other! Can't wait to see what I learn next week!!

It is fantastic Erica. I am so glad to see you did have a good time. My beloved Anika had the habit to poop each time on her Dr and technician, and she did poop also in her old age when I made her nails job But she was a true angel, and never bite me or other people. She only show that she was not happy by poop and also by pee. Anika was the more good girl with the litter, she never made mess, even when she was sick, always on the paper, or in the litter. good little girl.

You're in Maryland Right. I hear that is one fantastic shelter. I actually have never met Barbara, but we have probably helped out a lot of the same people in different ways.
Flying poo....I have see it before. Just keep your eyes closed HA HA

I really enjoyed my time there! It's going to be a once a week thing, considering that it's almost 2 hours from where I live. But I don't mind the drive to see such adorable fur butts! Furballlover, do you live in Maryland? For everyone, here is the information on Barb's FerretStock 2009! It's a huge event that they have on their farm! www.rockysferrets.com/events/fs/ferretstock.htmlIt would be great if some of you all could come!

Wow you're further away than I am. I live in Pa near Harrisburg. It takes us about an hour to get there.

I was just on their site reading about their latest ferret rescues. This is such a difficult thing to do emotionally and physically. I commend them all. I was with an animal rescue group for about 10 years while living in Puerto Rico.

I am hoping that one day I will be able to be involved in a rescue. I'm sure it can be pretty emotional and physically tiring. But the ones that you can save in the end are worth it all!
