Tomorrow, March 5, 2009, will be the first anniversary of Lawanda Hartman's death. Some of you knew Lawanda and she was Summerlilly to those of us at Ferret Fotography. Lawanda's photographs of her ferrets left me in awe. Whatever I did, I just couldn't get a picture of my ferrets like Lawanda. Maybe she used super glue to keep them in place. Whatever she did, it worked. She was a wonderful, kind, person and she is greatly missed. Please say a prayer for Lawanda tomorrow. www.mem.com/Story.aspx?ID=2329926 |

When I met Lawanda on line, I was still living in Puerto Rico. I was in awe of her photography and e-mailed her asking permission to print out some of her photos. Trying for ferret awareness I hung them on the entrance door to my department at work. I had Christmas ones, New Year's Photos, even one I used as a happy birthday. I still have those print out in my desk drawer 11 years later. She was an outstanding person and one who loved and cared for her ferrets. It was sad when we lost her.  |

Lawanda will stay in our hearts forever. She will be especially in my thoughts and prayers tomorrow.

I, too, remember her photography and her great personality when we all "met" for our weekly chats. Our world lost a very special person last year and the heavens got a jewel. She's in my thoughts & prayers today.  |
