Looks like I may have missed a few posts while I was away in Chicago, gf. Did you get a new puppy dog recently? Scarlet looks so happy with her new friend. Huggers, Greta

Thank you for blowing the picture up for me. The dog is Sammy. He was found wondering the streets of Phoenix about 6 months ago. We are his third home here. We took him to our vet and found out he has a chip. The chip was registered to a rescue in Flag Staff. We called the rescue. No one claimed him so now he is ours. The poor little thing is afraid of everything. He and the girls get along fine with very carefully supervised visits.

Sammy is so cute, Dee! I didn't know until now that you have a doggy. Kudos to you for adopting him the way you did. Sammy looks to me like a small breed dog and he fits right in with your beautiful little girls.
My Daughter and her husband adopted a puppy from a local Chicago shelte over a month ago, and Sammy reminds me so much of my new Grand Doggy, Max. Max is part chihuahua, I'm almost sure (from the looks of him) and he's cute as a button, just like Sammy. lol Huggers, Greta

Sammy is part Chihuahua and the vet says he is also part Whippet. That is where the long leggs come from. He is so very good with the girls. We had to be very careful with a dog because both the girls are older (they will both be seven this year). Scarlet has lymphoma and Gracie has a much enlarged spleen. We had to have one that would not try to play with them or harm them in any way. He was afraid of them at first. Now they all seem to get along fine. Of course we never leave them alone with each other.

Heidi, Sammy is not sharing their soup. He gets his own "soup" every night. Sammy's soup is his dog food with a little warm water and about a tablespoon of turkey drippings. He loves soup time! This is how we got them all to trust each other.
