Hello Ferret Friends/ Updated w/ pics

Hi all,

I haven't been on for a week, life been a bit hectic around here.

I hope you're all doing good and having a nice weekend.

Last Sunday I went hiking and have some photos I'd like to share. The desert is very green right now because we had some extra rain in Phoenix this winter. I will post them soon and hope you enjoy.

Some of you know my sweet pea Noah has been sick. He's doing much better now though. Cosima, my dog, was also sick, but she's also better now. Some of you know Dr. Driggers in Arizona, he's taking very good care of Noah and Noah is feeling quite well again and doing good.

Needless to say it was a long, hectic stressful week. I'm very lucky to have a wonderful boss who gives me the flexibility of working at home. I was able to juggle everything I had to do and work between the office and working at home and it certainly helps.

Having a good weekend though. Went to the park today with Cosima and we jogged and met some other doggies and people and things and had a good day at the wildlife preserve. Saw a mockingbird and listened to him sing for a while and watched a lot of other birds there. It was a good day for bird watchers at the preserve.

Then I had a nice surprise phone call from Huronna ... thanks again Huronna for checking on us!

And, my poor Mom ... you all know her as Granny ... she broke her finger yesterday! So she's trying to type one handed now.

Noah had to have blood drawn and also an ultrasound on his belly.

So you'll see Noah has some big shaved patches now. He has an infection and the medication is fighting it off. Here he is He thanks you for your prayers and good thoughts!

I'm sorry to hear you've had such a rough week, Lily. It's good that your boss is so thoughtful and lets your work at home when things get rough. I just realized yesterday that 'Granny' is your mom when I read her post where she mentioned you as her daughter. So sorry to hear she broke her finger. Typing one handed is not easy, even for an experienced stenographer. Bless her heart. I hope she heals quickly. I'll keep looking for those pics of your hike gf, and would like at least one photo of Cosi along with Noah when you post your pics. lol Hugs, Greta

Oops, Lily! I 'sent' my reply too soon. Just now noticed the pics you sent of little Noah. He is such a darling little cutie. Those shaved placed will grow back their hair quickly and those white patches make him look even more adorable. I'm happy to hear your little man is on the mend and the infection is being successfully treated. I hope Cosi is doing equally as well. Hugs, Greta

Yep Granny is my mom, her nickname is because she is Granny to Noah and Cosi and all my ferret angels

Lily, I think I missed a post. I didn't know that Noah and Cosima were sick I am very sorry about that. But glad to ear your little Noah is getting better. Poor little sweet heart. What happens with Cosima ? Please keep us updated. That breaks my heart to see your babies sick. Big hug to your mommy.

Yukkabelle, Lily didn't have time to post, a few of us knew what was happening via e-mails.
Cosima had a urinary tract infection, she is all cleared up now with antibiotic usage

How they look pity when shaved... Nahum and Petit Ours are like Noah. But they are still so beautiful. Do you feel that on the shaving part, the skin seems more hot (warm) ? Especially on the belly ?

Cosima had a uti but it's gone now. Noah is fighting off an infection and doing very well, he's almost totally better . The tests were preventative mainly. His spleen is enlarged from the infection and hopefully will go down as he gets better each day. If needed it will be removed but hoping not. Good news was blood showed perfect organ function levels, no tumors on the ultra sound, everything else looks great. He's much better really ... didn't like his meds at first but is doing fine now.
Yep, Noah will be watching his weight. He is 3 1/2 pounds now but doc wants him to trim up a bit. Noah is a free roamer and we have stairs so he gets plenty of exercise just really really loves his food . Some of you probably remember the photo I have of him when he actually fell asleep eating and his head is in his food dish sound asleep! He's much better and therefore, so am I .

Awww glad to read he is on the mend and dropping 3/4 of a pound will really help him! then he will be at posing weight for his length and wanting to strutt his stuff ! weigh ou this food and give him a half portion morning and a half portion evening if he eats it all dont be tempted to top up sounds hard I know but its the only way to shift those ounces and we all know he wont starve ( he is carrying his own back up supply that we are trying to remove lol boy he could survive quite a while with his cute budda belly lol ) glad cosima is feeling better too but sorry about granny that had to hurt ouch give her my love take care bye for now
