- Something sweet like Nuprical/ferretvite if the ferret need a sugar boost (insulinoma kids with seizures.
- Nailclippers
- Scissors
- Styptic powder as I know you fellow americans tend to cut the nail short-short-
short (CL taught me not to clip them as short).
- Thermometer
- Some kind of cream or ointment for small wounds ( I do not know the english word, and I am too lazy to go get the dictionary)
( note from Lily: In USA, Neosporin or like brand)
- Something to clean wounds with (like Chlorhexidin)
- Some bandages and band aids (for you and the ferret LOL)
- Some Q-tips for cleaning (not ears)
- Some cotton pads for ear cleaning and other cleaning
- The telephone number to the vet and other important phone numbers
- The vaccination cards and other medical information for that ferret or those ferrets
- Important information about the ferret. Like how many heart beats a minute, body temp and so on.
- Some syringes for feeding food/water or medicine
- Some sterile carozine () for those blockages (is to be used only after consultation with a vet. If you give laxatives or food when they do have a blockage you will start the bowl movements and that can damage more than it does good).
- Surgical tape for getting the bandages to stay on
- Brush and toothbrush and a scrape for tartar and plaque

1 Karo syrup for low blood sugar or onset of insulinomia attacks
2 oral syringes for measuring and giving mds
3 A large eye dropper for hand feeding and giving fluids
4 Band aids the com in handy with some small injuries
5 stypic powder or cornstarch or alum to stop bleeding
6 pedialyte for dehydration and elctrolytes
7 A&D ointment or antibiotic ointment for cuts or burns
8 medical tape or vet wrap
9 Hydrogen peroxide for infections
10 Sterile 4x4 guaze
11 Gauze, cotton balls and cotten swabs or qtips
12 nail clippers
13 tweezers
14 pepto bismol or pepcid ac for stomach upset
15 heating pad for when ferret is to cold or after ferret has surgury done to keep them warm use a towel to cover it and on its lowest setting. try to rotate ferret every 5 mins

Iron supplement in case of heavy bleeding to replace the blod they lose. My mind is at a lose all of a suuden cant think of the name of it it is a liqiud maybe someone knows the name of it

goats milk or replacement milk for small animals

A medical record for each of your ferrets stating allergies, vacinations , illnesses etc. Sometimes when there is an emergency it is nice to have all the info ready for the vet. Saves time with treatment and diagnosis.
A small box with a blanket for transportation of an injured ferret or other small animal.
Tweezers
A little kit for making a torniquet (in case of a severe laceration) Can also double as a little splint for their tiny limbs
A sticker outside your house stating that there are _ number of animals in your house in case something happens when you are not there.
The vets phone number and a back up vets phone number located next to the phone in case some one else is caring for you ferrets (also a pic with the ferret's name and description so if the house sitter need to take the ferret to the vet the vet will know who it is)

Carafate (tablets to crush and mix with water - for ulcers)
Pedialyte (for dehydration)
Hills A/D (for duck soup & weight gain or older fuzzies that do not like to chew hard kibble anymore)
Dyne (for soup and/or weight gain)
Pet Tinic (extra vitamins for sickies)
Ferret RX (for colds)
Laxatone or Ferret Lax (we have both for different tastes..to PREVENT blockages)
Prednisone (just in case we ever need it we stock it-usually used to treat Insulinoma-we have scripts so we keep it on hand)
Karo Syrup or Honey (in case a fuzzy has an Insulinoma shock can be a quick treatment until getting to Vet)
Neosporin (for cuts & scrates)
Ear Cleaner (for clean ears...lol)
Baby Food (chicken & rice) (for duck soup or kids with ulcers)

vicks vapor rub ( for colds melt in boiling water out side the cage place a thick towel over bowl and cage and form a steam tent )
panicure ( kitten wormer from vet )
To be honest I dont have a first aid box I have a first aid trunk lol I could go on for ever more my motto is if it looks usefull buy it or save it who knows when it could come in handy lol take care bye for now
