I made the hard choice and called the vet to make an appointment for Stanley. He stopped eating hard kibble last week and started loosing alot of weight. He was 3 lb his last vet checkup a year ago and was down to 1.5 lbs today. The adreanal diesese finally one over his fight. Even my feeding him duck soup and softer food I could not get the weight back on him He was 5 years old and I told him his sister Taz was waiting to greet him. I lost her in 2007 to a tumor on her pancrease. Taz and Stanley both got sick at the same time they both lost their hair. Taz got hers back but Stanley never did. This last week he stopped giving me kisses and just looked at me with those sad eyes. I told him I would never let him suffer so I made the call. I have to keep an eye on Ginger and Bear because I know ferrets morn and they are going to miss him something terrible. Hopefully I do not have the full blown out fights like I did when we lost Taz. She was the leader of the pack. Any problems she took care of them. I feel like I did the right things just wish I could have afforded the surgery but that is no guarentee either. I love my ferrets I just wish they had a longer life span. Sarah

I'm so so very sorry for your loss ... You did the right thing for Stanley because you loved him and I'm sure that he knew it. In the past, I've had to take that decision for my Cookie RIP, I know what it's like, I know how you feel and how much it hurts. Someone told me once that euthanasia is like to take their pain to make it ours, so true My Deepest Sympathy ... You are in my thoughts and in my prayers ... Sending huge hugs Linda XXX

My heart reaches out to you. linda is so right. When we say goodbye to our babies this way, we take their pain and make it ours. I'll be searching to sky tonight for Stanley's bright, shining star as he spreads his light over you in love. God bless, comfort and strengthen you as your sad heart heals. Loving hugs, Greta

Sorry to hear of another angel, the picture is my silky that went to the bridge , she cries when another leaves for the bridge. She cries for the one left on this earth who mourns, and tears of happiness for the one who joins her at the bridge, because they now are no longer in pain. My gift I wish I could give to you If I could turn your tears of sorrow into tears of joy I would. If somehow I could turn back time so you could spend more time I would. If there was some way to make this a happy time for you Then that is what I would give you. These things and more I wish I could do for you. It is a mystery to me why god chooses who goes and who Stays, who suffers and who is happy, maybe someday we Will understand why. For now only god knows why he brings such tears to our eyes. These things I may not be able to give to you, but we can let our loved one live on in our memories. Remember the good times you had together, for in our memories they will live on forever. Kyle....
