Is it time to close this site?

Ferret has been around since 1998 when I first joined it while living in Puerto Rico.
That's over 20 years. Since then there has been a lot of information that has come to light and many of our vets are now quite knowledgeable regarding Ferrets and their health issues.
Many of the old regulars have moved on to other things. the three other assistant managers have not been around in years.
I do come and check every day, and there is no movement here.

I have gotten very involved with the graphic community and animations and though I still have two wonderful ferrets because of my age (72) these will probably be my last since I have been owned by ferrets since 1984.

I'm wondering if there is anyone who would be interested in taking over the site or if it would just be better to close it.

I'm going on vacation from the 17-28, but will have wifi available.
So if you have any suggestions or desire to take the site over, please feel free to PM me of post here.

Heidi I would hate to see this site close. This is the best source of ferret information I have ever found. It is also the only ferret group left that I belong to.
Heidi you are the best group leader I have ever met you know all about the internet and have a ton of information about ferrets. You are always so kind and willing to share your knowledge. Please reconsider.

I still pop in from time to time. This is the only group still around that I belonged to in the MSN days. All the others faded out. It makes me sad. They were all very active groups, and I had a lot of friends on them that I have now lost touch with. I did find a handful on Facebook, but it's not the same.

After seeing this, I went and looked through the member list. So many names, so many memories.... I wonder what they are all up to now?

I've only been a member here for a few years, (I'm unclejoe elsewhere) and I was brought in by Dar24, who is now my wife. I check in at least weekly, but I too see that interest is fading. I don't know what to say. At one point I was a member of over 2 dozen ferret forums, and Holisticferret seems to be the only active one left. I actually inherited 2 forums where I was a mod, but they are now dead. I even sent PMs and emails to everyone on ferretopia, to no avail. I hate facebucket/book, which seems to be where everyone went, and I am only there maybe once a month.
It's your site. I already miss all of my ferret friends for all of those sites. ::sigh::

It's been a long time since I've checked in myself. I've let myself get distracted by other things in life and I make no guarantees.

I have enjoyed this site muchly and am sad to see evidence that this site is fading. I have no advice to give.
