I really do think that is true. There have been times that my husband and I have gone on vacations and we have had ferret sitters or even put them in my Vet's boarding. But they always seem to have not missed us when we get home as they seem the same.
Well since June 12th our lives here have been totally different. My husband has been in different hospitals and rehabs during all this time and I am home a couple of hours in the AM than either off to work or off to stay with Joe in which ever place he is. By the time I get home, I'm exhausted and usually the 'kids" are sleeping.
remember, mine are free roamers. Never getting into trouble...before usually one of us was always around. picking them up, tickling their bellies, giving kisses. but now....I feel like I'm neglecting them.
Hopefully Joe will be home in another week and live will have some semblance of normalcy. Maybe the kids will stay out of the kitchen cabinets...maybe
I love my babies dearly, just sometimes feel bad they they are left so much alone lately.
Tomorrow will be a better day

Some do. When Dar and I went to AZ a few years ago we left 8 ferrets with a shelter mom. When we got back, Jaffa was so ticked he didn't give us any attention for 3 days. He was a huge kisser, and every time I picked him up he just wanted down. The first time he kissed me after that I just melted. I miss him so much
I just got back from 4 days in FL and Scamp Yoshi and Lola didn't seem so excited, bt Dar was here and their routines didn't change much
Dar starts her new job tomorrow!! Full time with bennies!

I spent 3 days in FL last weekend with my boys. I haven't seen either in over 2 years, and one in 6 years. We had a good time, but it was a lot of driving AFTER the flight, lol. One son lives with my ex in the middle of nowhere. The flight/car package was so cheap i should consider it once a year, since one son can't travel far. Departure airport is small and 15 min away, and FL airport is near Orlando, and not as close to #2 son as I had thought, but it's a pretty no-stress 1.5 hr drive. A good time was had by all, except my youngest who lives with the ex had no a/c, but he was happy to spend the day at my motel in a/c and the pool, lol.

Hurron, I hope Joe gets to feeling better soon. I know it is hard trying to be in one place at a time. I don't even remember mine missing us. I think the only time they did is when they heard the wal mart bags and they come running to see what I bought. I thought they would help me but no they just wanted to grab and run. I didn't even buy them anything.. I miss my babies. Ron wants to get cuple of them, but I told him that he isn't home to help clean up the messes. I am too down in my back to put up after them. You and Joe are in my prayers. Merry Christmas
