Craigslisters from Knoxville, 3 3/4 hr round trip. He has a Birth date from Marshall's of Sept 2015, she is supposed to be about the same age. Both are on their 3rd and last home. So far, Scamp is ok with them, which is great because we got them to be his buddies. She gave me kisses on the ride home while waiting at a light. He started war dancing when he got in the house, and barked a couple times while playing with me. He has the energy and endurance, it seems, to keep up with Junior (Scamp), and they're sure not afraid of each other. They love chasing each other around. Zoe is energetic too, but not a spaz. She's figred out how to climb up on the bed. We've gotten kisses from both of them already, and there have ben o fights at all with the current crew. They came with a well equipped Kaytee tall, square cage and a whole bag of 8-in-1 walmart special food.  It's our intention to have them on soup by Monday. (Diego likes it already) By coincidence (fate?) they continue the pattern in the unclejoe/Dar24 business of white girls and patterned boys. She's like a black-nosed Lola and he's a sandy Yoshi, lol. Congratulations on the new family members! Please post new picture after they have been on your good diet for awhile. I am sure they will have beautiful coats in a short time. It sounds like they are very grateful for the good new home (kisses already). Zoe does have a assume nose!

Now I have 2 that can jump on the bed and wake me up in the morning. Diego is a lot like Scamp. They like a lot of the same games etc. they play well together most times bt Scamps still has to assert himself Diego can keep up mostly.
I'm going to FL this weekend to see my sons. one of which I havent seen in 6 years and the other in 2. So If i don't post don't worry, I'll be back.
And Dar starts a new, full-time with benefits job on MOnday!! Woohoo!

Looks like these two newbies need a little more meat on them.
Love that black nose, in all my years I've only had one black nose. and that was only half a nose LOL

they're both healthy. Dago is 2 1/2 lb, but he's pretty muscular. problem is Scamp is 3 lb and the aggressor. they do ok so far, but Jr (Scamp) picks on Zoe. We're working on that. Dago went for a walk on the leash tonight and he went nuts. could not get pics or video cuz he was a spaz. I'm going to have to alternate nite walks with Jr and Golden boy (Dago). This morning it was Dago that woke me up at 4:30 licking my face. On a sad note, Rosa is coverd with tumors and will probably be pts this week  |

Actually, Diego is 2.5 lb and Zoe almost 2 lb, so she's a little bigger than Lola and Abita. I had a good time with my boys. Including a visit to my best man in Edgewater, FL, I drove that rental car (2018 Hyundai Sonata) close to 6 hrs on 3/4 tank of gas.
Scamps has reverted to dork mode. His response to losing Rosa, his former target, is to pick on Zoe. He also gets rough with Diego, so we've had to leave Zoe out with Abita, close off the levels and go back to Scamp and Lola upstairs unless we are here to monitor. When we get home from work, we let Diego out for a bit so he and Zoe can be together in peace. It's tough play, not bitter fighting, but I just don't want to see Diego hurt. He and Zoe are so sweet, we can't imagine anyone giving them up.
Dar and I had Scamp and Diego out on leads together and they had a blast, but much too busy to get video.

Dago is becoming SCamp II. They follow each other around and Scamp is teaching him the ropes, including some not so good stuff. But te new guy is a real cudder. He has fallen aslep inmy lap a few times now just to take a break.  IMG_1306 by unclejoe1158, on Flickr Zoe is free roam at night with Abita. Most nights Zoe will climb on the bed in the middle of the night and wake us up with face kisses. In the morning, I get SCamp and Dago kisses as soon as Dar opens the bedroom door. My boys and I had a great time. Trip went very well. Got an upgraded rental car, which was nice, because I spent like 8 hrs driving around. My son lives with my ex and they are RURAL. lol. Yeah, it's great that Scamp has a buddy. Almost shadows. They spend a lot of time with each other and the dominance battles are rare now. More like buddies wrestling. The downside is that Scamps still goes after Zoe. By experience I doubt that will change, sadly. She is soooo sweet and all the others like her just fine. I've done everything I know to get him to accept her. Any ideas would be appreciated.

In all the years of having ferrets ,this only happened to name once. Silveretta was old and eating onlybaby food, I have to keep her and Dixie apart as Dexie seemed like he would eat her alive......yet he was sweet as can be with the other two females we had. Go figure

Junior (Scamp) can and has slept with any of the others. When he gets let out, Zoe goes in his space in the FN. He immediately looks for her in or out of the cage. If we slip up, she pays the price. He was this way with Lola, but one time she got the best of him, and now they are buddies. She spends nights alone with Scamps. They play outside the cage, and when she's had enough, she lets him know and it's over. We've tried pinning Scamps and letting Zoe have at him, but she will just go away. We did that with tiny Alice and Jaffa and Alice literally screamed at Jaffa the Hutt and nipped his face and the next day we found them sleeping in a drawer together. We're hoping that eventually we can arrange the same, but Scamps is "high spirited." Brat
