Scamp, aka Junior, Bubba, June Bug, Little ***k, our little terror, is a year old today. We found him alone in a small cage in an aquarium supply store at 10 weeks. He's 100% kook. He's learning to ride on my shoulder and doing pretty good at it. He gets into more trouble than any ferret we've had, but he has a ton of personality, so we've decided he can stay, lol. Happy 1st Birthday Scamp!
Scamp looks like he has gone from a sad situation as a baby to Ferret Heaven! It sounds like he is very happy in his wonderful home.

Twiggy, my first ferret (the little one) and Ceaser our second ferret, love to swim in the garden tub. Twiggy would lay over the drain when I tried to let the water out. She wanted all the warm water. When we moved out to Arizona and had just a regular tub, neither of them were interested in swimming. I guess they liked the round more open tub better.Attachments:

Scamp wasn't so bad in the fish store. The owner's daughter took him home at night and had a couple ferrets. They only have 1 at a time in the store. I should take him back to the store so they can see what they deal in, lol. Make them feel guilty haha. My job is ok. I got a raise a couple months ago. First time that's happened in 12 years. I love the field I'm in. I get to help people walk, dress and bathe them selves for the first time in months, sometimes. It's very rewarding, but billing is all about making Medicare happy, and they are all about fraud prevention. Therapy is the only branch of health care that bills by the minute But everything I do benefits my patients. We were considering a new turtle just this week, as the turtle store had sidenecks on sale for 75% off, but we said no we'll wait. In NE Tennessee, frost can come as late as Mid May, and this week we have temps in the 30s. Next weekend we will set up the pool on the porch for the terps. I took this today IMG_2798 by unclejoe1158, on FlickrAtlas is on top, Titan on bottom. Atlas likes the heat lamp. Darlene is working at Office Depot. Not very exciting, but it's a job. I went 2 years without one not too long ago... It's pretty comfortable living here. I say that despite the fact that a couple as*holes broke into our shed last week and stole a bunch of my tools Just scooped out the top of my box and took off before the cops could get here. I guess druggies are everywhere. We have insurance. The Bible says that thieves and liars won't be saved. I hope a few hits of meth was worth it. I love my fellow therapists. We are hoping to enter a Dragon Boat in the fall race to raise money for the hospital auxiliary. I hope the company foots the cost of entry. We're supposed to raise money from pledges, but only 3 of the 7 therapists I work with have been round here more than a year, so we don't have a huge local base of support. Junior (Scamp) keeps me busy. He really is awesome. He comes when called --heck, all I have to do is think of opening a door and he's there--and he just lasts forever. Yesterday he was up for 5 hours before I finally put him in the cage. The other ferrets aren't awake 5 hours all day. He still plays rough, and whenever he comes out he seeks out Rosa. If he finds her he picks on her endlessly. When we let him out, she goes in the cage. Kind of sad, but when everyone goes in the cage we leave one fuzz out so she can bed with someone. She still gives me kisses every time I hold her. I hope everyone is well. I miss all of our internet friends

He doesn't actually swim, but whenever I turn on the water for the shower he'll go inand get a little wet, until the actual shower turns on. We keep a 5 gal pail of water for the turtle tanks in the spare bath tub and he'l perch on the tub and pail and drink from it. The pail in this video is about 1/3 full.
