Walk In The Park -- pic heavy NFR

Huronna hope you don't mind me sharing non ferret photos here. Just felt like sharing.

I go walking quite often in the Riparian Preserve by my house. It's a park for wildlife, there is one big lake and then behind the lake there are numerous ponds. People can fish in the big lake but beyond it everything is protected land and wildlife. We walk or run there often.

It is behind our library and there is an observatory in the park also where the public can reserve viewings. I have yet to do that, but hope to soon.

The preserve is home to the Burrowing Owl, which is a tiny little owl that is endangered. They are very cute.

Here are some photos I took Sunday during our walk. I haven't had time to edit these so they are just straight out of the camera, sorry, they could be better just rushing to share them really........

I really enjoyed our walk, Lily. It gave me a brief respite from the snowy cold that's been with us since November. The park is beautiful and the scenery is so different from here in Michigan. The trees are not what I'm used to seeing but they're gorgeous just the same. The flowers are lovely, too. Thank you for treating us to your warm, inviting park. Hugs, Greta

I walked with you also. Did you have two cameras? Or can you set your digital to do black and white as well as color? Your photos are crystal clear, I felt like I was right there, now perhaps having new eyes has something to do with that also. I just felt like I could readh out and touch everything. Thank you for taking us on a lovely stroll. Was Cosima with you???

Thanks so much everyone for letting me share, I'm so glad you enjoyed the pics . Huronna my camera can do both color and b&w either in the camera or you can change them to b&w with the software too. I like b&w's used to be all I'd do, I'm starting to enjoy them again . Yep, Cosima was with me ... I have a video of her on youtube trying to chase those geese and they are hissing at us! LOL

Your walk through the park was lovely as usual. It sure was nice to see green instead of snow and blue skies instead of gray. Western PA won't see that until April if we're lucky.
