Getting Ready for the hospital.

Its going to be a busy week for me, so I wont be posting alot. I have to get things ready for my angiogram and recupperation.
I went for the pre heart proceedure clinic yesterday and the nurse was great. She walked my son and I through the whole thing from the parking lot to my release. I feel much less scared now.
My Doctor will most likely go through my wrist instead of the thigh as that is where he prefers to go and my blood flow is much better there than my thigh.
If they find nothing significant then I will be home that night, but if they do an angiplasty, I will be there over night to watch for clotting and bleeding at the site.
I will be awake for the thing and able to watch will probably forget the whole thing since I will be sedated.LOL! Kind of like a good drunk. Hee hee.
This week I have to write a list of the kids foods and meds (some are on special foods and meds, and some will only eat if the food is given in a certain way. This is for Trashman the first couple days since he will have to take over.
Then theres the house. I want everything spotless so that when I can get around its not going to be a huge project to get it back to where I like it.
Plus I am cooking meals for Trashman so he can heat and serve. LOL! Yeah Right! Just leave him a phnone book and that will work. LOL!
The night before ,I am suppose to have 2, five ounce glasses of wine to help me sleep. Doc says better than a sleeping pill. LOL!
So, you probably wont hear from me on the 6th and maybe not the 7th. If anything drastic happens, Trashman will let everyone know.
So pray for me my friends that they dont find anything big. All my fur kids need me able to care for them.

Good luck to you. I hope everything goes as smoothly as planned and you will be back on your feet in no time. Ramboferret had an angina atack in Sept and they did an angioplasty and put in a stint. Although it was an emergency deal and I was scared to death for him, it really wasn't so bad. The whole thing went pretty quick and he was in his room in a couple of hours. He's doing much better now and I think he's all but forgotten the whole ordeal. Of course he had to stay a few days because he had other issues, but by the time he got home he was a bit worn out from all the rest but he was definately ready to go back to work.

Thanks everyone! I am scared but its natural. My son will be there and it will be a huge help to me. Its in Gods hands so I know I will be fine.

When I left with my daughters to vacation in Alaska and later in Hawaii, I made huge batches of duck soup and froze them so my son could keep my babies on the schedule they were used to. I didn't prepare Mark's dinners, though. Just took him shopping with me and let him pick out everything he wanted. lol My son is a professional chef and baker.
