Let me see,,, Card board boxes with holes cut in them..Ripped up newspaper in the boxes or inside a garbage bag...My guys just love a blanket all balled up on the floor... tubes, tubes and lots of tubes..They never get board of tubes..Just got to move them to a different position and they think they have a new toy.. I bring in some leaves in a box in the fall...And some snow in a pail on it's side in the tub in the winter...Oh and if you really want to make their day..Give them a work boot...My Kahlua will try and drag that into her hidey hole..To funny to watch...lol
Just a few ideas... I am sure others have more...Can't wait to see what everyone else has for ideas..

My husband puts them on the bed and then tries to make the bed. Rustling the covers and they attack the sheets and try to unmake it.

I just spent the morning cleaning toys and tubes and moving them to new locations, they come out and go WOW new toys! They are thrilled when I do that, we love blanket rides and box rides, we cut a box down and attached a rope and covered the bottom with packing tape so it slides easily, they jump in and out and wrestle and just love rides in the "convertible"! A pan of warm water with floaty toys in it is always popular, if not messy LOL If you live where its snowy bring a pan of snow in and let them dig and have fun with the snow. A dig box is fun, filled with long grain rice or biodegradable packing peanuts.

All the suggestions above are excellent. You might also try sitting/laying on the floor while you do leg exercies with your ferrets nearby. Make sure you're wearing slacks with this one. Laying in a prone position, slowly lift first one leg, lower it to the floor and then slowly lift the other. Keep this up, alternating legs. You can also slowly swing you arms up and down on the floor (as if you were making a snow angel) and keep this up for a while until you get your babies' attention. It shouldn't be long before you have your little ones competing for free rides on your legs as they move up and down. You might even find a fuzzy or two running along your arms as they're moving across the floor. Don't be surprised if you feel someone tugging at your hair though, and maybe playfully nipping you here and there. hehehe
Another entertainment my ferrets love is the game we call 'Chasing the Vacuum Cleaner.' Let your babies free roam the room as you vacuum the carpet. Be extra careful though, that a little tail or paw doesn't get caught up in the suction. Keep your finger on the 'Off' switch and your eyes glued to your babies.. My kids will chase down this noisy monster, jump aboard and go through all sorts of amusing calesthentics while they try to destroy mommy's cleaning tool. lol This game is more apt to appeal to younger ferrets. Hugs, Greta

Sorry it took me so long to get back. I have worked every day sence I posted it. Only 2 more days to go before I get a day off lol. Thank you for all the suggestions I am going to give them a try. My babys are getting older now and don't want to play so much. I want to get them up and moving. ;D

We keep their treats in the kitchen, which is one the other side of the house from the our bedroom where they sleep. If they wasnt a treat, which is everytime I happen to go into the kitchen and they are awake, they follow me into the kitchen, take their treat. And then go about their business. It's a long run back to the bedroom LOL

Our kids think our bed is a wrestling ring! They'll be laying around all bored looking but as soon as I put them on the bed they go wild!! They'll stay up there and wrestle around and chase each other around under the covers until they're both pooped (not THAT kind of poop!) and then they'll climb down and get in their little bed and nap!!
